I’m not going to lie, things are tough for most poker affiliates. The affiliates that are doing well are the ones who promoted Pokerstars in Europe or Carbon Poker. Black Friday has had a extremely negative effect on the online poker industry. No doubt that Pokerstars, Zynga, Wynn, 888, and Caesars will all emerge smelling like roses. Rest assured that the elimination of Full Tilt Poker was pre-planned to dispose of the competition. This is where normal people say “What are you going to Do?”. Well, I’m anything but normal. I’m doing things and remaining decisive, because if I don’t, I will quickly go broke. I’m working every day to sell non poker and poker domains. I’m going to revamp this site, not that it was pimped out at any point, but spend some serious time working on removing old links, the WP theme, and building up my content business again. The amendment would see the state gaming commission called upon to “establish a committee to analyze and develop recommendations and model legislation” as well as “include an analysis of applicable federal and state law,” in a report that would need to be ready by July 2012.The amendment is a very small, though potentially significant half page addition to a bill that is already 164 pages long. The majority of the bill details very carefully how the state will implement live casino gaming rather than facilitate gaming online. The amendment was probably kept short on purpose so as not to affect the way any of the state representatives are likely to vote. The bill was in fact passed by the House with a massive margin at 123-32 and now has to be ratified by the state senate. The bill is to be discussed by the senate at the end of September.For internet poker to be legalised in the Massachusetts area all that has to happen now is that the senators pass the bill in full without referring to Winslow’s half page addition. There is still a long way to go before online poker becomes state law.
